It is recommended to complete a full treatment course of 4-6 sessions for most conditions for significant permanent results. Typically skin tightening, improvement of inflammation and redness would occur following the first treatment, and notably improve after 2-3 treatments. Pigmentations will often react immediately, and tend to lighten over 4-6 treatments. More treatments may be recommended for further improvement.
Patients will see an improvement after 2-3 treatments for most conditions. Some conditions can improve after a couple of weeks with just 1 treatment, however completing a full treatment course will give the best result. Even faster results may be possible when treatment is combined with acupuncture and Chinese medicine at our clinic in Sydney.
The Aerolase Neo Elite has set a new standard for virtually pain-free treatment, even on darker skin types, thanks to MicroPulse 1064 technology. This allows the laser energy to affect the skin for just 0.65 microseconds, which is shorter than the thermal relaxation time of the skin tissue (~0.8 microseconds). Patients can generally expect a mild sensation of warmth, and numbing is not required. Spot treatment with at higher energies may cause a sensation similar to being flicked with a rubber band. Dr Andrew Sun has medical and non-medical methods to improve your comfort.
The Aerolase treatment intervals is 3-4 weeks for skin rejuvenation and most skin problems. Weekly treatment is recommended for active acne management. Dr Andrew Sun will tailor treatment plan to suit your schedule.
Treatment with the Aerolase system will significantly improve the appearance of most conditions. The non-immediate skin improvements are actually permanent changes. Factors including skin ageing, sun damage, lack of self care, health changes, and certain medications, may lead to the reappearance or redevelopment of previous conditions, or create new skin problems. Patients are strongly advised to use plentiful protection against the Australian sun, stick to a suitable skincare routine, and maintain a healthy well-balanced body. Further treatments will be effective in improving the condition, as well as can be done as preventative maintenance to optimise skin health, especially in conjunction with Traditional Chinese Medicine at our clinic in Sydney.
No. Anesthetics and cooling gels are not needed with Aerolase Neo Elite because of the unique technology. Depending on treatment, build up of heat may occur and cause discomfort in some patients, and when using higher fluence lenses, a sensation similar to being flicked with a rubber band may be experienced. Dr Andrew Sun has options to ensure your comfort.
Aerolase Neo Elite is the safest laser in the industry for Asian and darker skin tones, or naturally tanned skin. This is because of the MicroPulse 1064 technology, which essentially eliminates treatment pain while minimising the risks of hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and burns due to other laser treatments are actually treatable by Aerolase.
