Dr Veronica Sun is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner and acupuncturist with more than 40 years in clinical practice, and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Acupuncture. Her special interests lie in menstrual and hormonal health, fertility and pregnancy support, perimenopause and menopause, and the skin, sleep and digestive concerns that so often travel with them.
Traditional Chinese Medicine, at heart, comes from wisdom and insight. Reading a pulse, observing the tongue and recognising the pattern behind a cluster of symptoms are skills that deepen only with time and experiences. Dr Veronica has treated tens of thousands of patients. It shows in the room: she is calm, grounded and quietly perceptive.
Her care follows one of Chinese medicine’s oldest principles: treat the branch and the root together (标本兼治). The branch is what troubles you now, such as pain, hot flushes or restless nights, and relief matters. The root is the imbalance underneath, which she addresses over time, tailored to your constitution. This approach has also been inherited by her son Dr Andrew Sun, who approaches it from a balanced Western medicine perspective.
Beyond the clinic, Dr Veronica has served for 8 years as Secretary of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Society of Australia, helping to guide the association, support fellow practitioners and uplift the standards of Chinese medicine in Australia.
